A lot has happened in the past three months!! Here's a quick update:
A young man in Tyler needed to complete an Eagle Scout Project. Anyone involved in scouting knows that this is a sizeable project, meant to show the young man has learned organizational skills, can draw up and plan and implement it, including fund raising, organizing helpers, getting approval for the project and then carrying it out. Will Roberts did exactly that, and the Tyler Community Garden is an even better place because of it!! Thank you to Will and all of his helpers!!
The garden continues to grow and thrive!!! Peas are nearly ready to pick, carrots and radishes are ready! Lettuce and spinach have been cut and need to be cut again! The okra, green beans, cucumbers, pumpkins, cantaloupe, squash, and watermelon are coming up. We planted peanuts and they should be popping out of the soil any time now!!
